I lost my remote

Something we really want.

The world decided we couldn’t have it.

Something we didn’t want, or something we wanted at first, then we didn’t.

The world gave it in an unexpected morning, “take it for granted/”

Like now I’ve been looking for my remote for 20 minutes, how come I can’t find it on the coffee table? Every day I always saw it there dusty when I was going to work.

The last few weeks have been tough on me, a lot of things have made me sit for hours just thinking about something I shouldn’t have thought about, feeling useless, and feeling insignificant. The worst thing is that I think I don’t have any happiness.

But today I’m sure I’ll find happiness.

It was a wednesday afternoon, i finished my work early, and held back to watch Moon knight until all the episodes were complete. Even though buying an 85inch TV nowadays is a stupid thing, when everyone watch everything on my cellphone, but moonknight deserves a the largest screen I have to see the acting of Oscar Osaac and Ethan Hawke.

I just wore a t-shirt and shorts, bought caramel popcorn and 2 glasses of latte, put a pillow on the chair to make it comfier, changed my cell phone mode to “do not disturb”,and prepared to be amazed by Moon Knight. “But where is my remote?” I didn’t see it on the coffee table.

20 minutes passed, and I still can’t find the TV remote.

I got rid of everything on the coffee table, picked up the books, fake plants, even removed the tablecloth, and didn’t put it back on.

I put my hand inside the side of the sofa, I’m not really sure, but usually a lot of things are tucked in there, on the right there are only coins and paper clips, on the left there are only papers that are definitely not the remote.

I opened the drawers under the TV one by one, there were 6 drawers, all of them filled with unimportant items, items I didn’t know I had, and items I looked for months ago but couldn’t find.

I stood, shuffled a bit away from the TV room, I wanted to see all the space as a whole, wide angle. Does my Remote have a life and can walk on its own, I’m sure if it’s true, because I bought it 2018, they must be 3 years old and want to play hide and seek. You know what remote “I am an adult”, adults can’t play hide and seek.

I keep scamming the room with my eyes, but I still can’t find it.

My head started to itch, 30 minutes have passed, I again ruffled the coffee table and put my hand back on the side of the sofa, reopened the media console drawer, humans do like to do stupid things (in vain) over and over, as if they are not sure of themselves.

I give up,

Why, when I want to watch TV, I can’t find the remote?

Why, when I wanted to eat instant noodles that time, I couldn’t find scissors to open the seasoning. Today I found 3 scissors in the drawer under the TV.

Why is it that when I really want happiness, I do extra work to find it everywhere, but I can’t find it?

I then took popcorn and 2 glasses of latte drink, and went to my room. I put everything on the bed being careful not to spill it, then I turned on my cell phone, leaning it against the pillow.

The series is so amazing, Oscar Isaac’s acting deserves thumbs up, applause and high fives 1000 times. My favorite is Steven Grant, funny and handsome.

Ethan Hawke is also so amazing, I was shocked when he suddenly appeared in the museum, made me nudge one of my latte drinks and wet my bed, I tried to quickly catch him but I failed, the coffee spread all over the sheets, mattress, and remote. Yes the remote is on the mattress, I’m sure the latte liquid will cause stains.

I let the mattress and remote wet until all the episodes were over, and even though my mattress was wet, I was very happy.

FIN.

Guys, the question for today is how to find happiness?
